Pedestrian, 78, Killed By Truck In Long Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 78-year-old man has died after being struck by a pickup truck Friday afternoon in Long Lake, Minn.

The accident occurred just before 3 p.m. at Brown Road and Wayzata Boulevard, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses say the man ran into the street in front of the truck. The victim was transported by helicopter to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver cooperated with police. The identities of the victim and driver have not been released.
