MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two people are in custody following a burglary Saturday morning in the southeast part of Dodge County.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to a call around 9:10 a.m. of a burglary taking place at 710 Street in southeast Dodge County.

The owner told police upon their arrival home they spotted a vehicle in the yard.

Two people then ran from the house and into a nearby field, and two others ran into the car and drove off.

Police said they were unable to follow the suspects in the car, but, following a tip from a neighboring county, were able to locate a male and female walking on the road south of Rock Dell in Olmsted County.

The male and female were taken into custody and questioned at the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Police have not released the name of the victim or the names of the suspects.

The burglary is still under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
