Police: Man Assaulted In Home By Unknown Male
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is in custody after a man reported being assaulted in his home by an unknown male.
Corey William Becker, 21, of Grand Rapids, is being held at Stearns County Jail in connection with the incident.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department, authorities responded to a report of a burglary in the 1000 block of 36th Avenue North in St. Cloud, Minn.
Upon arrival, police met a male who told them he had fled his home and called from a neighbor's house.
The male told police he fled his house after an man he didn''t know entered his home through an unlocked door and assaulted him for several hours.
According to police, when they searched the man's house they found Becker.
Becker remains in custody at Stearns County Jail.
The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries related to the assault.
St. Cloud Police are still investigating the incident.
