Walker Art Center Gears Up For Rock The Garden

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- This weekend is Rock the Garden at the Walker Art Center, where national and international artists are paired with the best local music.

But for the VIP's attending the show, it's also about the food. D'Amico Catering Chef Jack Raben and General Manager Cathy Bovard stopped by the WCCO This Morning Show on Thursday to talk about this weekend's event and what will be featured.

"It's really nice because there's not a lot of access to those terraces at Rock the Garden under normal circumstances," Bovard said. "There are some great views of the stage, great views of downtown and some great food."

Raben said the food will range in everything from a simple hot dog to more high-end options. Those include a salad and a couple of skewer options.

"Everything about the menu says summer," Raben said.

Bovard said a majority of the food for Rock the Garden will be on the eighth floor of the Walker Art Center, which opens up to the terraces for the VIP ticket holders.

Single-day general admission tickets for Rock the Garden are $59. A two-day pass is $100. Anyone can buy VIP tickets, but they are little more expensive. Green room tickets are $100 bucks for one day and $175 for both days. Skybox tickets are $225 for one day and $400 for both days.
