MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It looks like we’ll finally dry out a little this weekend (fingers crossed), so it’s time to get out and enjoy the weather. Here are some of the best ideas we came up with for a great weekend.

Back To The 50s
It’s a tradition for many of you to hop into the DeLorean (so to speak) to see a bunch of cars straight out of Hill Valley. Yes, it’s the Back to the ’50s Car Show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Hot rods and souped-up rides are everywhere. You don’t even have to be a gearhead to enjoy. I’m not and I love this event. The event runs on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., as well as Sunday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Brit’s Pub
Most of the world (and even portions of America) are still under the spell of World Cup 2014 fever. I can think of no better place to watch all the soccer/football/fútbol action than Brit’s Pub on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis. Great food, great people, great atmosphere.

John Legend
One of the hugest acts in music right now will be performing at Mystic Lake Casino on Friday. His song “All of Me” just went to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 recently, so this concert gives you a chance to see him at what is so far the height of his career. Tickets are still available for the 8 p.m. show.
