Mike's Mix: Mom's Salty Caramel

Every Friday, Mike Augustyniak picks up a new cocktail recipe from a local mixologist. This Friday, Mike shares a recipe from St. Paul's Ward 6 This week's selection is Mom's Salty Caramel

Mom's Salty Caramel
3/4 oz Dark creme de cacao
3/4 oz Absolut Vanilia
8 oz Vanilla ice cream
Caramel sauce

• Mix well using a blender
• Pour into Collins glass with salted rim
• Drizzle caramel sauce across top

Taste Test

Can a traditional milkshake be improved upon? Apparently… because this is one of the most delicious drinks I have ever tasted. You won't taste the booze in here and feel free to make a non-alcoholic recipe by leaving out the booze and blending the caramel into the ice cream.
