Police: 2 Hurt In Minneapolis Stabbings, No Arrests Made

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said two people were hospitalized in a pair of stabbings Sunday morning in Minneapolis and they are seeking information on suspects.

Police were called to a report of a stabbing at about 12:43 a.m. on the 1000 block of Currie Avenue. While on the way to the scene, officers received a report of shots fired in the same area. When authorities arrived, they found shell casings at the scene but did not locate any victims or suspects.

Officers found a man who had been stabbed in the area of 8th Street and Hennepin Avenue. The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. A short time later, a second stabbing victim from the same incident arrived to HCMC in a taxi.

Police got a description of the suspect vehicle in the incident and later found it on Chicago Avenue between 7th and 8th Street. Authorities said no arrests have been made and the incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information should call Minneapolis Police.
