St. Cloud Police: Woman Injures Man In Hit & Run, Attacks Security Guard
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 31-year-old woman was arrested Friday for a hit and run in St. Cloud that injured one man, and later attacked a hospital security guard while in custody.
According to St. Cloud Police, Danielle Ilene Bennett is accused of a hit and run early Friday morning on the 1000 block of 7th Street Southeast.
Bennett allegedly struck two parked car before fleeing the scene. Darren James Steichen, 26, was in one of the cars and suffered non-life threatening injures. A 28-year-old woman with him was unharmed.
The suspect was later tracked down and arrested by police, and taken to St. Cloud Hospital for a draw blood to determine if she was driving under the influence.
While at the hospital, Police say Bennett attacked a security guard.
Criminal charges have yet to be filed.
