SAINT PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Hillary Clinton was among the big names in town Sunday night for the annual Starkey Hearing Foundation Awards Gala in St. Paul.
She was joined by John Legend, Sammy Hagar, Forest Whittaker and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
The Foundation, which is based in Eden Prairie, provides hearing aids and screening for children and adults.
It helps many people here in Minnesota, but it also teams up with global partners to give out free hearing aids around the world.
As the Foundation celebrates its 30th anniversary, it also celebrates those who’ve given the gift of hearing.
WCCO’s Jason Matheson had the honor of being the first person on the red carpet to greet Sunday night’s celebrity guests.
The Foundation has pledged to fit 100,000 hearing aids each year.
Last year, they did 164,000.
