Twins' Mauer, Nolasco Play In Minors For Rehab

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Fans in Iowa got a chance Wednesday to see two major leaguers in the minors.

Joe Mauer and Ricky Nolasco both played for the Cedar Rapids Kernels, the Twins' farm team.

The two are on rehab assignments, with Mauer recovering from a strained oblique and Nolasco from an injured elbow.

Nolasco pitched nearly four innings of scoreless baseball.

Mauer had one hit in three at bats playing for the Kernels, who are managed by his brother, Jake.
