MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating after more than $1,000 worth of damage was reported to the roof of a junior high school in Eagan earlier this month.

According to a police report, the incident happened sometime between July 31 and Aug. 7 at John Metcalf Junior High School. Police responded to the vandalism report at the school at about 6:24 a.m. on Aug. 8.

The report indicates that roof vents and an antenna were broken, and damage was done to 12 PVC pipes, one security light, one power roof vent and one TV. The damage done was estimated to be in excess of $1,000.

Authorities said in the report they collected an empty pop can on the roof for evidence. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Eagan Police.
