MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Firefighters from several departments responded to a fire at a salvage yard in Long Prairie, Minn. Friday morning, according to city officials.

The city says workers at Hwy 27 Auto Salvage were cutting off a fuel tank from a vehicle when it ignited at about 10:50 a.m.

Crews from Browerville, Sauk Center, Osakis and Clarissa are helping the Long Prairie Fire Department.

Officials say the fire is still burning as of 1 p.m., but it’s under control.

No one has been hurt.
