MN Student Thought Missing In Montana Has Been Found

MISSOULA, Mont. (WCCO) -- A University of Montana student has been found after he was reported missing when he failed to return from a weekend fishing trip.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office said 21-year-old August Kramer, of Mahtomedi, called his mother and told her that someone picked him up.

He said his vehicle broke down and he was unable to repair it. He slept in his vehicle for two nights before he caught a ride with a passerby Tuesday afternoon.

Kramer had an adequate supply of water, as well as granola and protein bars.

The sheriff's office warns other recreationalists to be prepared before they head out alone in the outdoors.
