2 Hospitalized After Brooklyn Park PD Squad Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Brooklyn Park police officer and an Osseo woman were hospitalized Monday morning after a two-car crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The accident, involving a Ford Explorer squad car and a Chevy Aveo, happened at the intersection of Zane Avenue North and 90th Avenue in Brooklyn Park.
The state patrol says 24-year-old Lauren Benney exited a school parking lot and tried to turn northbound on Zane Avenue when she was struck in the intersection by 44-year-old Officer Anthony Weeks, who was traveling southbound.
Benney is in good condition at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Weeks was treated and released.
The state patrol is investigating.
