Officials: Teenage Boy Attacks Family, Calls It In

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in Scott County say they are investigating an assault after a 16-year-old boy from Credit River Township called them saying he had just attacked his family.

The boy called authorities just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, the sheriff's office said. Several neighbors also called 911, saying the boy's family were running from their home on the 20000 block of Monterey Avenue.

Officers from several law enforcement agencies responded to the scene, and the boy was taken into custody, the sheriff's office said. No officers suffered injuries in the process.

The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries. An ambulance took them to get treatment.

The incident remains under investigation. The boy's name has not been released.
