Vikings Sign QB Chandler Harnish To Active Roster
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- With Matt Cassel out for the season and Teddy Bridgewater's status still uncertain for Thursday night's game, the Minnesota Vikings signed another quarterback to the active roster.
On Thursday afternoon, the team announced that two-year veteran Chandler Harnish was signed to the active roster from the practice squad. Wide receiver Rodney Smith was released to make room for Harnish.
Harnish was the final pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, signed by the Indianapolis Colts. He played college football at Northern Illinois University, where he was the starting quarterback for four years.
