Minneapolis Police Group Endorses Gov. Dayton
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton's re-election campaign got a boost Sunday with an endorsement from a major law enforcement group.
The Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis announced the endorsement Sunday afternoon, saying Dayton has fought for money to help keep – and hire – police officers across the state.
"I don't believe you will find a bigger advocate for public safety than Gov. Mark Dayton has been," federation president John Delmonico said.
Before the announcement event, Dayton sat down with WCCO Sunday Morning and talked Ebola, MNsure and the advertisement that called him unaware.
