Woman Dies After Being Trapped Under Pickup
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in Kandiyohi County said a 52-year-old woman died Saturday after a pickup truck, which had been jacked up for repairs, collapsed on her.
The county sheriff's office said officers responded to a garage on 21st Avenue Northwest, between Willmar and Pennock, shortly after 5 p.m.
Family members had found the woman, who had been working in the garage, under the pickup. It's not yet known how long she was trapped before anyone noticed.
The woman was identified as Valery Jean Kallevig, from the Pennock area.
There was an attempt to revive Kallevig with CPR, officials said, but she died of her injuries.
The incident is under investigation.
