Northfield Named Best Place To Retire By Money Magazine

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - If you're thinking about quitting your job, and looking for a place to live.

You don't have to go very far to find one of the best places in the country to retire.

In the most recent issue of Money magazine, Northfield is called the best place in the country for a well-rounded retirement.

The town is just 45 minutes south of the Twin Cities and is home to two colleges and an active retiree community.

The magazine also sites "beautiful countryside, and the mix of affordability and economic growth."

The only downside, according to the magazine, is the long and cold winter.

Runners up were Bellingham, Washington, and Manchester, New Hampshire.
