Airlift Wing Returns From Humanitarian Mission

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Nearly 100 members of Minnesota National Guard's 133rd Airlift Wing are returning this week from resupply and humanitarian missions in Southwest Asia.

The unit flew almost 800 missions, hauling about 5,100 passengers and 2,200 tons of cargo. Its missions included emergency transport of about 140 patients.

The 96 Airlift Wing members are returning in waves Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday of this week. They've been deployed for four months.

Air Force Capt. Winnie Tan Musser says the 133rd including about 1,200 men and women who support both state and national needs.
