Blaine Man Allegedly Points Rifle At Manager After Argument

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police say a Blaine man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a rifle at his manager through a store window.

Michael Joseph Decoux, 47, was charged with one count terroristic threats and one count of dangerous weapon violation.

According to the criminal complaint, police received a call around 5:44 p.m. on Oct. 17 regarding a man pointing a shot gun at a Papa John's store in the 400 block of 87th Lane NE.

The caller told police that the man was outside of the pizza place pointing the gun toward the front of the store.

According to police, the caller informed them that the man did eventually put the gun back into his car and entered the store.

Upon arrival, police located the man, later identified as Decoux, and found an uncased black and brown long barreled rifle on the floor in the back of his car.

According to the criminal complaint, police then spoke with the manager who said Decoux had arrived late to work which led to an argument between them.

After the argument, Decoux went outside and got the rifle from his car.

The manager said Decoux then pointed the gun directly at him from outside.

Police said the manager did not want to press charges.

Decoux is currently in custody.
