Holidazzle Marketplace Opens Nov. 28 In Downtown Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Holidazzle Parade in downtown Minneapolis is no more, but the city of Minneapolis is getting ready to take on a new adventure in its place.
Starting Nov. 28 and lasting through Christmas Eve, a three-block stretch of Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis will serve as host to the Holidazzle Village. The village will be between 12th and 10th Streets and turn the downtown area into a "winter wonderland." It will feature holiday characters, a carousel ride, holiday refreshments, story-telling and other activities, including live reindeer and a Santa's Workshop.
The carousel, one of the featured events, will run daily during the Minneapolis Holiday Market's from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. It will be open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
The Holidazzle Village will be open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28 and weekends through Christmas Eve. Some activities in the village include fireworks, glass blowing demonstrations, dog sled exhibitions and ice skating.
