Kid Filmmakers Invited To Enter Minnesota Contest

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (AP) — Young filmmakers can now enter Minnesota's first-ever 90-Second Newbery Film Festival.

The video contest is for kid filmmakers who create movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery-winning books in 90 seconds or less.

Kids can perform all of the writing, acting and directing for the final film, or they can team up with adults or teenagers on some of the filming and editing.

The deadline for submitting films is Dec. 20.

Select films will be shown during the Minnesota screening of the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival on Feb. 28, 2015, at the Hennepin County Library-Minneapolis Central.
