Prior Lake Girl Raising $8K For Feed My Starving Children
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A little girl from Prior Lake is on a mission to raise $8,030 and feed a village of 100 people.
On Sunday, Sanya Pirani and her friends from Jeffers Pond Elementary School learned about how to help kids around the world with Feed My Starving Children.
Six-thousand people die each day from hunger and the kids say there are ways to help.
"I strongly believe that every child deserves basic human rights, like food, shelter and safety. That's why I decided to help Feed My Starving Children. I'll be raising $8,030 for a village for one year," Pirani said.
About $80 can provide food for a kid for each year. Feed My Starving Children sends pouches called "MannaPacks" to nearly 70 countries.
