Sheriff: Bar Fight Leaves 2 Arrested, 1 Hospitalized

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say one person is in critical condition at a Rochester hospital and two suspects are in custody after a bar fight early Saturday morning in western Wisconsin.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office was called at about 12:47 a.m. Saturday to the Border Lounge in Trenton Township on a report of a fight in progress. When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old man lying on the ground near the front door of the bar who appeared to be unconscious.

The victim was taken to Red Wing Hospital and later transferred to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, where he was listed in critical condition as of Sunday night. Authorities say two suspects are in custody in connection with the incident.

It's not clear what led up to the bar fight, and the incident is under investigation.
