Two Kids In Hospital After Car Crash That Killed Their Mother
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Two children remain hospitalized Monday night after they were passengers in a car crash that killed their mother.
Misty Petschl, 34, died on Saturday evening after the vehicle she was driving crashed on County Road 10 near Waconia.
Her son Spencer and daughter Jazmine were rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries.
Martin Melchert, who lives near where the accident happened, said the road was extremely icy that day.
"It is a very sad situation," he said. "Anytime anybody is hurt, it's a bad situation, but then to find out that a mother has been killed and two children are in the hospital--that's worse yet."
