2 Killed In Train-Vehicle Crash Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The victims in a fatal crash between a passenger vehicle and train in Kandiyohi County Saturday have been identified.

At 3:16 p.m. on the day of the incident, the vehicle was traveling north on 182nd Street at Highway 55 near Paynesville when it was hit by a Canadian Pacific Train.

On Sunday, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office identified the victims as 52-year-old Charles Wayne Vadner, the driver, and 23-year-old Nathan Joe Bahner – both of Paynesville.

The crash is under investigation.
