Gas Prices Still Plummeting Prior To Thanksgiving Travel

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's going to cost you a lot less to drive over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house this Thanksgiving holiday.

Global demand for oil is down and supply is up. Nationwide, the average price of a gallon of regular is $2.84. That's down ten cents over the past two weeks.

In Minnesota the average is even less, just $2.70 per gallon.

Last year at this time, the price for regular was 30 cents higher.

Gas prices typically plummet in November, as we move out of the busy summer travel season. Also, winter grade fuel costs less to refine, according to AAA Minnesota.
