Vikings Cautious About Possibility Of Playoffs
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, and there is now that sliver of hope.

And there is now a sliver of hope for the playoffs.
A 6-and-7 record means if everything goes right, maybe there might be an outside shot at the playoffs.
As Mike Max reports, they did something similar two years ag and now they have a facility to facilitate January football.
The Vikings have done just enough that for the first time the head coach acknowledged the possibility of playoffs.
"Today was the first day that coach brought it up. He said he doesn't know what is going to go on, but he just wants to continue to go out there and continue doing what we've been doing, fighting, playing good football," Vikings linebacker Gerald Hodges said.
Sounds farfetched to talk post season, but remember two years ago?

"I know it can happen. I've been a part of it. I definitely know it can happen. We just have to continue to take our strides and continue to keep getting better each and every day," Jasper Brinkley said.
The Vikings are going to have to make the playoffs to make the new outside practice accommodations a worthwhile investment.
They were shipped over from England, and the idea was to allow the team to be able to practice outside.
However, the team plays in Detroit and then heads to Miami, they might not need to practice outside until they play Chicago in the final week of the season.
But it speaks to how much money the NFL has, and it speaks to the fact that the Vikings really don't want to be outside.
So it is heating ground that might only be used for a couple practices in two weeks.
And if it's never used?
"I'm not complaining. It's alright with me," defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd said.
The Vikings will take on the Detroit Lions at 3:25 p.m. Sunday.
