No Vikings Make NFL's All-Pro Teams

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have another reminder of a tough season: No one made the 2014 Associated Press NFL All-Pro teams.

The selections announced Friday end a mini-streak for the Vikings, which had at least one All-Pro in each of the past three seasons. Among NFC North teams, only the Vikings and Chicago Bears came up empty. Green Bay had four players honored and Detroit had three.

It's not the only lapse in post-season recognition for the 7-9 Vikings. The team also failed to land any players in the Pro Bowl. It was the first time since 1983 that the Vikings weren't represented in the Pro Bowl selections.

Two Vikings, defensive end Everson Griffen and safety Harrison Smith, were considered strong contenders and could still be picked as alternates later on.
