Minnesota Dentists To Provide Free Dental Care For Kids

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Dentists across Minnesota will provide free dental care for children in need at the annual Give Kids a Smile event next month.

Services will be available for up to 6,000 children at more than 200 dental offices on Feb. 6 and 7.

Patients seeking appointments should be 18 years or younger and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Appointments can be scheduled now by calling United Way 211 at 2-1-1 or the toll-free statewide number, 1-800-543-7709.

The Minnesota Dental Association sponsors the event. Since the program began, Minnesota dentists have provided free care to more than 60,000 children and donated services valued at more than $15 million.
