Man Found Killed In South Minneapolis Apartment On New Year's
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A 49-year-old man was found killed in his South Minneapolis home on New Year's Day.
Ricardo Orozco Negrete died at 10:59 p.m., according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
Minneapolis police on routine patrol were flagged down on the 2900 block of Cedar Avenue S, near the Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery.
Someone asked them to check the welfare of a man who lived on the block.
Negrete was found dead in his apartment. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.
Minneapolis police and the medical examiner continue to investigate the crime.
