Man Killed In Bloomington Officer-Involved Incident ID'd

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have identified a man killed late Thursday night in an officer-involved incident in Bloomington.

Bloomington police were called to the 9900 block of Briar Road just after 11 p.m. on a report of a suicidal person. When officers arrived, they accounted an armed, white male outside the residence.

Authorities said the scene moved to the 5800 block of West 99th Street, where shots were fired. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner on Sunday as 24-year-old Quincy Reed Reindl of Bloomington. The medical examiner said his manner of death is pending further investigation and his cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said the case remains under investigation.
