Purdue Women Stun No. 21 Minnesota In Overtime 90-88

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Whitney Bays scored 25 points, including the game-winning jumper with 3.4 seconds left in overtime, to give the Purdue women a 90-88 upset over No. 21 Minnesota on Thursday.

Bays also tied the game at 88 on a jumper with 1:08 left and finished with six of Purdue's 13 points in an overtime period that had four ties and four lead changes.

The Boilermakers (10-9, 3-5 Big Ten) led 79-75 with 1:54 left in regulation, but Shae Kelley had a free throw and a three-point play for Minnesota (16-3, 5-2) to force the extra period.

Liza Clemons and Ashley Morrissette both scored 19 and April Wilson added 17 points for Purdue. Wilson also handed out 12 assists and Clemons grabbed 10 rebounds.

Amanda Zahui B. led Minnesota with 26 points and Kelley added 20 with 12 boards. Shayne Mullaney had a career-high 15 assists to go with 11 points.
