1 Of 2 Charges Dropped For Mom Who Treated Son With Cannabis Oil
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The more serious of two charges against a Minnesota mom, charged for treating her son with marijuana, has been dropped.
Angela Brown, of Madison, Minnesota, is facing jail time for treating her son with cannabis oil after he suffered a traumatic brain injury. She says he's suffered chronic pain and muscle spasms ever since.
On Thursday, a district judge dropped the child endangerment charge, according to Brown's attorney.
A charge of contributing to the need for child protection will go forward to trial.
Medical marijuana becomes legal in Minnesota in July.
