Roseville Fire Crews Respond To 2nd Early Morning Residential Fire In A Week

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Roseville Fire Department says firefighters responded to the second early morning residential fire in a week Wednesday morning.

At 1:30 a.m., firefighters were called to the 3000 block of Mt. Ridge Road and found the rear deck of a home on fire with fire spreading toward the attic, Roseville fire said.

Roseville police officers also responded and woke the three occupants of the home, who were uninjured.

When firefighters arrived, they controlled the fire while two police officers entered the home for a second time to rescued two family dogs.

Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading into the house or attic space. Damage is estimated at $75,000.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

On Monday, an apartment fire in Roseville killed two cats.
