17-Year-Old Dead After Driving Car Into Wisconsin Ditch

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A 17-year-old Woodville, Wis., girl died Thursday afternoon when her car went over a guardrail into a ditch.

Alexsis D. Albrightson was driving on 70th Avenue in the town of Warren, Wis., when she lost control of her vehicle.

A witness watched as her car crossed the centerline, struck the guardrail and hit a culvert, before coming to rest in a ditch.

Albrightson was wearing a seatbelt, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

United Fire & Rescue, Roberts Fire Department and Baldwin EMS assisted at the scene.

The St. Croix County sheriff's office and medical examiner are investigating the crash.
