Wounded Officer Jordan Davis Thanks Colleagues For Support

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minneapolis police officer is thanking his colleagues for getting him help after being shot on this job this weekend.

"Those guys did everything I would expect they would do. They stepped up to the plate, got me into the emergency room as quickly as possible and got me the help I needed," Officer Jordan Davis said.

Davis is back home after being shot in the shoulder early Saturday morning.

He had responded to a burglary call and was standing outside his squad when he was hit.

He is also thanking the community for the support they've given him.

"You know I work overnight dog watch and that's where I've worked for the majority of my career, so a lot of the time we don't see the positive support from the community. We're out overnights dealing with the worst of the worst sometimes. So, getting all of the support has really been overwhelming," Davis said.
