Newly-Renovated Ordway Center In St. Paul Opens

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Visitors are getting their first look at the newly renovated concert hall at the Ordway Center in St. Paul.

A ribbon cutting on Sunday kicked off the debut of the concert hall after a $42 million renovation. The concert hall can now hold 1,100 people. That's three times the number it used to hold, and visitors will enjoy improved sound quality.

The new acoustics design includes features to block out outside noise, and amplify the sound from the stage. The designer says it will result in a greater sense of intimacy and connection with the performers.
