Authorities Identify Crow Wing Co. Choking Death Victim

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Crow Wing County Sheriff has identified a 15-month-old choking victim who died Friday.

On Feb. 2 at 12:35 p.m., sheriff's deputies responded to the report of a child choking on County Road 123 in Crow Wing Township. Upon arrival, deputies initiated CPR with the help of the caller.

The child was taken to an area hospital and later flown to Minneapolis Children's Hospital, where the child later died from complications.

On Wednesday, the child was identified as Lucas Coe of Brainerd.

No foul play is suspected, but the case remains under investigation.

Details of what led up to the incident have not been released.
