4 More Dayton Commissioners Get Senate Nod

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Four more members of Gov. Mark Dayton's cabinet have the Senate's blessing to serve as commissioners.

On voice votes Monday, the Senate confirmed Human Services Commissioner Lucinda Jesson and Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Katie Clark Sieben to serve second terms.

Separately, Matt Massman at Administration and Thomas Baden at the technology agency called MN.IT were confirmed in their posts.

So far, the Senate has taken up commissioners deemed noncontroversial.

Some agency heads could find a tougher time. But with a Democratic majority, the Democratic governor's picks all stand a strong chance for confirmation.
