Everything's Bigger & Better At The Twin Cities Auto Show

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Get your motors running at the Minneapolis Convention Center from now until March 15. It's your license to dream at the Twin Cities Auto Show.

As WCCO This Morning's Ali Lucia reported, this year, you could even win a brand new GMC Canyon. The winner will be announced Saturday, March 14.

The show's director Scott Lambert said that this year the event is bigger than it's ever been -- to the tune of 400,000 square feet.

Lambert said that two new automakers in this year's lineup are Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo.

And then there's "Luxury Lane," which offers show attendees their license to dream. The most expensive car you'll find there is an Aston Martin convertible valued at a cool $326,000. There are, however, plenty of highly affordable cars on display as well.

This year's event features tons of special exhibits and daily themes. During Saturdays and Sundays, you can get a complementary child seat safety check from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and $6 for teens age 11 through 15. (And also, on Wednesday, March 11, all tickets are $6.)
