Dorset Restaurants Destroyed By Fire Won't Be Rebuilt
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A small northern Minnesota town may soon have to change their slogan as the "Restaurant Capital of the World."
The two Dorset, Minnesota restaurants that were destroyed in a fire last September will not be rebuilt.
The owners of the Dorset House and Companeros Mexican Restaurant said the sites will be leveled, filled and ready to be built on when the ground thaws.
The lots will be put up for sale, along with the names of both restaurants.
Dorset House was chosen by WCCO viewers as the best place in the state to get an ice cream sundae. The town of Dorset itself also made headlines when then 4-year-old Bobby Tufts was elected mayor.
