Police Seek Public's Help In Identifying South Mpls. Bank Robber

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police hope a surveillance image will help lead to the arrest of a man who robbed a south Minneapolis bank last week.

On March 11 at 12:40 p.m., the suspect entered the Sunrise Bank, located at 2100 Blaisdell Avenue South, and handed the teller a note that implied a gun. He then fled with around $1,100 in cash.

The suspect is described by police as a heavy set black male who is about 5-foot-10.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crimestoppers. If the tip leads to an arrest, the tipster may qualify for a reward of up to $1,000 and still remain anonymous.
