Bloomington Man Shot Dead In Downtown Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A Bloomington man was shot to death Friday morning in downtown Minneapolis, one block north of the Orpheum Theatre.

An off-duty police officer heard the gunshots around 6:30 a.m. and found Justin Murry Williams, 28, near the intersection of North 10th Street and Currie Avenue.

He had been shot multiple times and was taken by ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died from his injuries at 8:06 a.m.

The suspect had fled the crime, but Minneapolis police are reviewing surveillance video footage and have interviewed people nearby.
