Twins Blog: Best Bites At Target Field

Baseball, brats and beer go pretty well together but there are so many more options than that at Twins games. Unlike many other ballparks, Target Field is quickly becoming a foodie destination, much like the Twin Cities itself.

The change in ballpark food is likely credited to the ever-changing appetites of fans. The time-tested favorites of baseball's hey day like peanuts, popcorn and Cracker Jack no fail options. But one of the most frequent questions I get from people going to games is what food to try.

Each year the Twins spotlight new items, and there are more than a dozen local favorites sold throughout the ballpark. I've found a handful of other menu items go unnoticed, especially for those counting calories, or have a vegetarian or gluten-free diet.

In my opinion, some of the best options are away from the concessions and at the ballpark's restaurants. Here's my list of picks for fans looking for something outside the traditional fare.
