Report: Twin Cities Parks Named Best In Country

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Parks in the Twin Cities are getting national exposure Wednesday.

The Trust for Public Land named Minneapolis and St. Paul number one in the country for best park systems.

The two cities tied for first place in the 2015 Park Score index.

The index looks at three main areas: park number and size, facilities and investment and access.

The mayors for both St. Paul and Minneapolis have a news conference planned for Wednesday to celebrate this honor.
