Police: Car Hits Building In Minneapolis, 2 Hurt

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people were hurt Thursday afternoon after a car smashed into a building just south of downtown Minneapolis, according to police.

Minneapolis Police responded to the incident at about 2:40 p.m. near the intersection of 21st Street and Nicollet Avenue. Police said a vehicle crashed into a dentist office at the intersection.

Two people inside the vehicle were hurt in the crash. One was taken to Methodist Hospital, and the other was taken the Hennepin County Medical Center. Authorities said both suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities said they did not know how badly the building was damaged in the incident. What led up to the vehicle hitting the building is under investigation.
