5 Things To Know About Wine, Women And Baseball
Last Friday the Twins took on the Toronto Blue Jays. The game may have ended in a loss, but for a large group of women attending the night was still a win.
That's because it was Wine, Women and Baseball.
For those unfamiliar, Wine, Women and Baseball is basically the ultimate girls' night out. The evening starts off with a wine tasting event, paired with food, hair, nails, massages, face painting and giveaways, and finishes with a baseball game.
An evening for truly any woman in your life.
After attending this lady-focused event, we decided there were a few things you should know before attending.
Arrive Early
There's a lot to take in when you first walk into the event space at Loews for the Wine, Women and Baseball event. From food to drinks to freebies, it's hard to know where to start. Getting there early will ensure that you get to try everything. After all, even if you're not one for getting your hair or nails done (yes, this is offered there) there's massages and the WCCO selfie booth.
Not to mention, you'll get the first taste of all the food, which is only available as it lasts.
Explore All The Rooms
The main event is held in the ballroom space on the 5th floor of the newly renovated Loews hotel. But there are a few areas outside of the ballroom that have goodies too. A few spaces are set up just for seating, but some have additional food items or photo opportunities. You don't want to miss out on getting your picture with a cardboard cut-out Twin or a sesame chicken strip.
Pacing Is Everything
As previously mentioned, there is a lot to take in, so pace yourself. Pro tip, grab a drink first to survey the room and see what food is available. Grab what looks most alluring, then get in a line for whatever service it is you desire first. Those lines get long! Also, if you're with a larger group, some ladies can hold a spot in line while you grab refreshments for the rest. And if you do, don't worry about finishing, you can eat and drink during. (Well, if you're getting your hair done at least.)
Bring Extra Cash
Wine, Women and Baseball is filled will a lot of wonderful giveaways, like the food and wine samples, but for anyone looking for a bit more in their cup there is a cash bar. The bar also has beer and cocktails for anyone looking for something different. Soda and water is free.
Indulge & Enjoy
Sure, there's a baseball game to attend, but this event is for you – so enjoy it! Have that extra glass of wine or slice of pizza. Get those nails did. Rock a new do. There's no need to rush out of the room to get to the game, the evening is about enjoying wonderful wine and fabulous company. Let the ball game be the cherry on top.
