Technicians Working To Restore Service Following Gas Leak

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – CenterPoint Energy crews are working to restore gas service to consumers and businesses in Anoka County following a leak.

Company officials said crews responded Tuesday morning to the northwest corner of Ferry and Pleasant streets. The leak, they said, was likely caused by construction in the area.

The south sides of both streets were evacuated for a few hours. The evacuation has since been lifted.

The company said its technicians were in the process Tuesday afternoon of restoring service to consumers and businesses affected by the leak.

Customers who are at home will have their service more readily restored, the company said.

Repairs were expected to be completed by Tuesday evening.
